Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Responsible for manually loading, unloading, sorting, and moving materials throughout the warehouse or production facility without the use of forklifts or powered equipment. Ensures products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload boxes, packages, and materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Move products to designated storage or staging areas using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or by hand.
• Sort, organize, and stack materials according to company procedures.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory by labeling, counting, and organizing materials.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and free of hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies and proper lifting techniques.
• Assist with packaging, wrapping, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet daily production and shipping goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse or distribution center.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
