Description
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler to join our client’s manufacturing team located in Liberty, SC. The Material Handler is responsible for performing all material handling functions to ensure that no machine is waiting for materials or supplies to be delivered, or waiting for materials to be removed, resulting in production downtime. Responsibilities
Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to production machines in a timely manner.
Remove finished goods, scrap, and excess materials from production areas as needed.
Monitor material levels throughout the facility and proactively replenish supplies.
Transport materials safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
Maintain organized inventory and storage areas.
Assist with receiving, stocking, and distributing materials throughout the facility.
Ensure production areas remain clean, organized, and free of material-related obstructions.
Accurately complete material movement documentation and inventory transactions.
Communicate with supervisors and production personnel regarding material needs and priorities.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Support other warehouse and production functions as assigned.
Requirements
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move materials throughout the workday.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment.
