Material Handler - 2ND SHIFT Northwood, Ohio $20/HR SUNDAY 430 PM TO 1 AM MONDAY THRU THURSDAY 330 PM TO MIDNIGHT
Summary of Position: Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. May perform other general warehouse functions in support of operational requirements. |
Key Accountabilities: - Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
- Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
- Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
- Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw
- Cycle Counts
- Identify, hold and segregate defective material
- Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
- Perform general clean up
- Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
- Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
- Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
- Train others when required

Minimum Requirements: - High school diploma/GED
- History of consistent dependable attendance
- 5 years of warehousing experience – especially in metals industry
- Shipping experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills
- Previous forklift experience
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
Preferred Requirements: - Use of hand held measuring tools
- Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
- LEAN and/or Quality Control experience
