We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Material Handler to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and production operations, including the movement, storage, and handling of materials and finished goods. The Material Handler ensures accurate inventory control, timely delivery of materials to production, and adherence to all safety and operational procedures. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, including consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate regularly with the Shift Supervisor regarding production, packing, and shipping priorities, as well as any issues or delays.
  • Unload inbound shipments and accurately store materials in designated locations.
  • Stage and deliver raw materials to support production requirements in a timely manner.
  • Retrieve finished goods, properly secure (e.g., shrink-wrap) pallets, and prepare items for shipment.
  • Load outbound shipments in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Accurately label, tag, and verify quantities of materials during shipping and receiving activities.
  • Complete required shipping and receiving documentation and participate in inventory control processes, including cycle counts.
  • Ensure all equipment is returned to designated storage areas after use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned work areas in alignment with 5S or internal standards.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations; maintain required certifications and licenses for operating motorized equipment.
  • Safely operate production equipment as assigned.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal communication skills.
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with co-workers, supervisors, and other personnel.
  • Read and comprehend written materials, including manuals and work instructions.
  • Follow directions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines consistently.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused on tasks.
  • Possess adequate peripheral vision, depth perception, color differentiation, and overall visual acuity to safely perform job duties.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Work effectively in confined or awkward spaces as required.
  • Utilize computers or tablets for basic job functions (e.g., data entry, documentation).

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred, including the safe operation of motorized equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
  • 1–2 years of experience with data entry, with a strong attention to accuracy and detail.

Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
