Material Handler (3rd Shift)

Position Details

• Number of Positions: 2
• Pay Rate: $22/hr
• Shift: 3rd Shift - Monday through Friday, 9:30pm to 6:00am with overtime
• Training Shift: First Shift - 6:30am to 3:00pm for two to three weeks
• Interview Process: Hiring off resume only
• Physical Requirement: MEO Physical required (sight/hearing test)

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, move, locate, and pick/kit raw materials and finished goods for production and sales orders
• Follow and comply with safety processes, requirements, and SOPs
• Handle hazardous materials properly and follow DOT procedures
• Maintain a 5-S work environment
• Load/unload trailers and pick materials accurately
• Prep and stage outbound sales orders for shipment
• Perform inventory and shipment audit checks

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in a fast-paced shipping/warehousing operation
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired
• Knowledge of chemicals and hazmat handling is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, and teamwork skills
• Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions in English
• Must be safety-oriented with prior forklift experience desired

Physical and Mental Demands

• Ability to work on feet or sit on forklift for prolonged periods
• Regularly walk, climb, stoop, kneel, bend, and perform repetitive motions
• Use hands and arms to lift, reach overhead, carry, grasp, push, and pull
• Lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively during work shift
• Operate a forklift and pass a respirator fit test and medical evaluation
