Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate inventory management, processing, and preservation of specialized materials, including medical and pharmaceutical specimens. You will play a critical role in ensuring material accountability and the seamless movement of assets within our facility.
What You'll Do In this role, you will:
Manage Material Lifecycle: Oversee the receipt, tissue preparation, processing, and storage of materials, ensuring timely preservation and accurate filing within the system.
Coordinate Supply Operations: Collaborate with internal teams and requesters to track materials, conduct audits for missing items, and participate in procurement processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
Maintain Operational Standards: Ensure full compliance with Defense Supply System regulations and organizational safety policies while maintaining the cleanliness and quality control of all warehouse equipment and supplies.
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate will have:
At least 1 year of experience in a warehousing or logistics environment.
Strong knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and numbering systems, with a working understanding of Defense Supply System regulations.
Proven ability in supply automation systems and office software applications to manage database information and track shipments.
High School Graduate or GED and the ability to pass a T1 Investigation (Security Clearance).
