Material Handler – 1st Shift Armada Staffing Group is seeking a dependable and hardworking Material Handler to join our manufacturing team!If you're organized, safety-minded, comfortable working on your feet, and enjoy a fast-paced hands-on environment, this could be a great opportunity for you.The Material Handler plays an important role in keeping production running smoothly by receiving, moving, organizing, and delivering materials where they are needed. SHIFT - 1stPAYRATE - $23.00/hr What You'll Do
Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
Move materials and products throughout the facility
Deliver materials to the correct production or storage locations
Organize and maintain inventory
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
Maintain accurate material and inventory records
Verify quantities and materials as needed
Keep loading docks, staging areas, and work areas clean and organized
Follow all company safety procedures and material-handling guidelines
Perform routine cleaning of material-handling equipment
Assist with maintaining an efficient flow of materials throughout the facility
Communicate with production and warehouse personnel regarding material needs
Work independently while completing assigned tasks accurately and efficiently
Perform other material-handling duties as needed
What We're Looking For
Previous warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred
Forklift experience preferred
Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment
Strong attention to detail
Good organizational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic math skills
Ability to manage time efficiently
Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
Dependable and self-motivated work ethic
Ability to work with minimal supervision
High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
Physical RequirementsThis is a physically active position. Candidates must be able to:
Lift and move heavy materials
Stand and walk for extended periods
Frequently climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch
Safely maneuver materials throughout the facility
Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
Maintain a steady pace throughout the workday
