Description
Position: Material Handler / Warehouse Associate Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Pay Rate: $23.00 Job Summary:A material handler moves, stores, and tracks materials and products in a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or distribution center. Material handlers are essential to logistics and the supply chain, helping to get products from manufacturers to consumers. They play a critical role in maintaining workflow efficiency and ensuring that operations run smoothly. Duties/Responsibilities but not limited to: • Load and unload shipments • Organizing inventory • Deliver materials to the right locations • Operate machinery like forklifts and pallet jacks • Maintain accurate records • Follow safety guidelines • Keep loading and docking areas clear • Clean machinery Required Skills/Abilities: • Attention to detail • Physical stamina • Organizational skills • Good verbal communication skills • Good math and written communication skills• Efficient time management skills • Ability to lift heavy objects • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time • Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch Education, Experience, Requirements: • High school or general equivalent • Material handlers don't need formal education but do require on-the-job training Other Requirements: • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Self-starter
