Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Burlington
Shift: 1st Shift Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM
Pay: $16.00/hour
DESCRIPTION: The Material Handler is responsible for accurately filling customer orders and delivering them to the proper area in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.
JOB DUTIES:
Obtain work order picking sheets from manufacturing clerk and pull corresponding parts
Return items to stock that are not needed to fill order
Maintain organization of stock by properly labeling bins and restocking as needed
Inform warehouse receiver of any necessary stock items that are low
Complete forklift checklist before operation each day and make sure batteries are kept charged
Assist in assembly line and training of new employees as needed
Notify supervisor of low inventory items
Maintain general housekeeping of work area
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Minimum high school diploma or GED
Accurate, organized and dependable
Able to read, write and perform basic math
Ability to work as part of a team
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to move freely around the facility and workstation, stoop, bend, kneel, stand and walk for extended periods of time up to and over 8 hours a day
Must be able to lift an average of 20 pounds, maximum
