Material Handler

Milwaukee Electronics is looking for a patient, detail-oriented Material Handler to prepare electronic components for production. If you enjoy hands-on work, working with small parts, and getting the details right, this could be a great fit.

The primary focus of this position is placing small electronic components onto reels entirely by hand, without using machines. This is careful, repetitive work that requires steady hands, close attention, and the ability to stay focused throughout the shift. You’ll check component identification, count parts, follow placement instructions, and keep materials organized and accurately tracked.

You’ll also support related kitting and inventory tasks to help ensure production receives the correct components in the correct quantities.

Work just 3 nights a week, and enjoy a 4-day weekend every week!

This position follows a Monday-Wednesday, 5:00 PM–5:00 AM night shift schedule.

You’ll work full-time hours in just 3 days, giving you 4 consecutive days off each week to recharge, focus on personal priorities, or simply enjoy more balance.

What you’ll be doing:

• Place small electronic components onto reels entirely by hand, following written work instructions
• Check part numbers, quantities, and required component orientation to ensure materials are prepared correctly
• Handle small components carefully to prevent damage, loss, or mixing of different parts
• Inspect your work for missing, misplaced, or damaged components and report discrepancies
• Label and organize prepared reels and components so they can be correctly identified and tracked
• Pull, count, and prepare components for production kits as assigned
• Use barcode scanners and enter material transactions into inventory systems
• Support cycle counts and kit audits to maintain inventory accuracy
• Follow applicable electrostatic discharge (ESD), material-handling, and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and communicate material shortages or other issues to your Team Leader or Supervisor

What you bring:

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be considered with demonstrated math and language skills
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to checking your work
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling and positioning small components
• Patience and the ability to maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks
• Comfort using computers for data entry, barcode scanning, and inventory tracking
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions, component labels, and part numbers in English
• Basic math skills for counting components and verifying quantities
• Good organizational skills and the ability to keep similar-looking parts separated and clearly identified
• Ability to work independently, communicate questions, and contribute to a team
• Willingness to adjust to changing priorities and work overtime when business needs require it

A few things to know:

This role involves repetitive hand and finger movements, close visual attention, and careful handling of small electronic components. The primary work is manual component preparation, with related material-handling duties that include standing, moving between the stockroom and production floor, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

The work environment includes normal manufacturing noise, occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and a stockroom that may run warmer or cooler depending on the season.

Standard PPE and safety protocols are provided and required.
