Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and in-plant logistics operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, moving, storing, transacting, and distributing materials while maintaining accurate inventory control practices and adhering to GMP and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have warehouse or manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, basic mathematical skills, and the ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Load, unload, move, stage, and transfer materials throughout warehouse and production areas.
  • Accurately process inventory and material transactions in accordance with inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and assist with cycle counting activities.
  • Select, pull, and transact materials for production work orders.
  • Ensure proper counting, labeling, staging, and storage of materials and supplies.
  • Transport materials between departments, facilities, warehouses, and production floors.
  • Operate warehouse equipment including:
    • Sit-down forklifts
    • Stand-up forklifts
    • Side-loader forklifts
    • Pallet jacks
    • Other material handling equipment
  • Work safely in narrow aisles, warehouse environments, and cold storage facilities.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, inventory management practices, and quality standards.
  • Support and assist in training new or existing employees as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, metric reviews, safety discussions, and department huddles.
  • Communicate professionally with warehouse staff, supervisors, and team leaders to support operational goals.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or material handling environments preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to perform accurate inventory transactions and material movement activities.
  • Basic mathematical and counting skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, SOPs, and GMP guidelines.
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing, warehouse, and laboratory environments.
