Material Handler

Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Shift: 5am-3:30pm Monday - Thursday

Summary:

• Material Handlers report to Warehouse Supervisor, who supervise the storage, movement, and handling of different goods, supplies, and materials.
• Receive daily job assignments from the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Tasks include moving large numbers of goods to and from various storage and production areas.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state.
• Operate forklift with care and awareness of people and the environment around the machine.
• Ensure forklift is properly stored, fueled, cleaned, and ready to operate.
• Perform maintenance on the machine as needed.
• Follow and update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks.
• Move inventory and materials across facilities.
• Stack and organize large bulk items.
• Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and deliver to the proper location.
• Carry inventory for shipping to the proper truck.
• Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations.
• Make note of and request any damaged parts or replacements needed.
• Submit inventory records and log at the close of the day.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• HS degree or equivalent.
• Able to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift.
• The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds.

Preferred Skills:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience working with heavy machinery, forklifts, or other related equipment.
