Material Handler

Summary:

• Location: US-Carol Stream
  Shift Hours: 3:30 PM-2:30 AM Monday - Thursday
• Will train on 1st shift for the first two weeks (5am-3pm)

Responsibilities:

• Report to Warehouse Supervisor for daily job assignments
• Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations
• Operate forklift with care and awareness of surroundings
• Ensure forklift is properly stored, fueled, cleaned, and ready to operate
• Perform maintenance on machinery as needed
• Follow and update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks
• Move inventory and materials across facilities
• Stack and organize large bulk items
• Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and deliver to proper location
• Carry inventory for shipping to the proper truck
• Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations
• Report and request any damaged parts or replacements needed
• Submit inventory records and log at the close of the day
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• HS degree or equivalent
• Able to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift
• Prior certification for operating a forklift
• Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds

Preferred Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery, forklifts, or related equipment
