Job Title: Material Handler CDL Driver
Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Overview

The Material Handler CDL Driver is responsible for safely transporting materials and products to designated locations while ensuring proper handling, storage, and inventory control. This role combines driving duties with warehouse operations to support efficient logistics and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles (Class A or B CDL required) to deliver and pick up materials, equipment, and products
  • Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment
  • Verify shipment accuracy and maintain proper documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts, etc.)
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment daily to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain inventory records and assist with cycle counts
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including organizing and staging materials
Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in material handling and commercial driving
  • Valid CDL (Class A or B) with a clean driving record
  • Demonstrated understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions
