Material Handler

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and industrial solutions, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be an essential part of the Industrial department supporting production and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Clare, MI

Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.50 depending on shift

Shift:
1st shift - 8 am to 4 pm 
2nd shift - 4 pm to 12 am 
overtime is scheduled prior to shift start time and can be heavy including Saturdays

What's the Job?

• Support production associates by receiving, dispensing, and maintaining inventory in vertical storage units and on the shop floor.
• Utilize the ERP system for all inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with maintaining inventory levels for vertical storage units (VSU) and report any unplanned issues to the Team Leader.
• Pull components from VSU for work orders, including printing labels as needed, and ensure proper storage and sequencing.
• Operate forklifts, carts, and other approved methods to transport materials between departments, performing cycle counts regularly.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent. REQUIRED
• At least 1 year of forklift experience. REQUIRED
• Basic math skills for inventory management.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English language documentation.
• Valid driver's license and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
