Job Description
The Transloader / Material Handler supports outdoor transloading operations in an industrial rail car environment, working directly with chemical hoses, regulated materials, PPE, and material handling equipment. The role is highly hands-on and focuses on safely transferring materials while adhering to strict safety procedures and regulatory requirements. This position is primarily outdoors, with most work performed away from the main office and in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment
This role is based in an industrial rail car setting and is primarily outdoors, with limited shelter throughout the day. Work is performed away from the main office and in the elements, including varying weather conditions. An office trailer, shaded areas, air conditioning, shore power, and designated areas for breaks are available, but the core duties take place outside around rail cars, chemicals, and industrial equipment. Employees use chemical hoses, material handling equipment, and must consistently wear required PPE such as respirators, Tyvek suits, fall protection, and other safety gear. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday with generally 8-hour days and generous overtime, and the team typically works 6 days per week, including either Saturday or Sunday. Start times are generally around 6:00–6:30 AM, adjusted based on seasonal permit and daylight hours. Training is conducted on day shift for approximately three months, after which employees move into second shift (about 2:00 PM–12:00 AM) or third shift (about 6:00 PM–4:00 AM) to support continuous site operations.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
