Container Unloading Laborer

Location: Greenwich, NY
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Start Time: 8:30 AM - 4pm- 5pm 
Start Date: ASAP

Our client in Greenwich, NY is seeking dependable Container Unloading Laborers for a temporary project. This team will be responsible for unloading approximately two shipping containers each day and organizing materials safely and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload products and materials from shipping containers
• Lift, carry, move, and stack materials in designated areas
• Organize unloaded products in a clean and safe manner
• Prepare and stage materials for storage or distribution
• Follow all instructions provided by the on-site supervisor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and required break schedules
• Work closely with other team members to complete unloading assignments efficiently
• Use pallet jacks or other material-moving equipment when authorized
• Complete additional general labor duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be dependable and report to work on time
• Must have reliable transportation to Greenwich, NY
• Must be safety-conscious and able to follow directions
• Must be energetic, motivated, and comfortable performing physical work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous warehouse, material handling, loading, or unloading experience is preferred but not required

Physical and Working Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for 4–6 hours
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift repeatedly
• Comfortable working inside and around shipping containers
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Must wear appropriate work clothing and closed-toe footwear
• Steel-toe or composite-toe footwear may be required

This is a project beginning ASAP. Candidates must be available to start around 8:30 AM.
