Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Material Handler to join a manufacturing and warehouse operation in Claremore. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate has previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience and is comfortable working with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Accuracy and organization are important in this role, as the Material Handler helps ensure production receives the correct materials while supporting inventory, shipping, and receiving operations.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience preferred
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and material-handling equipment
Basic computer and inventory management system skills
Ability to read work orders, packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
Ability to follow material movement and storage procedures
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment
Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slips and purchase orders
Confirm quantities, part information, and material condition upon receipt
Identify damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies and report concerns
Move received materials to appropriate storage or production locations
Store materials in designated areas and maintain organized inventory locations
Deliver materials, tools, components, and supplies to production work areas
Pick and stage materials according to work orders and production requirements
Pack and prepare materials for shipment
Assist with loading completed orders for transportation
Maintain accurate records of inventory and material movement
Perform additional warehouse and production-support duties as assigned
Inventory Control Responsibilities
Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle-counting activities
Verify physical inventory against system quantities
Maintain accurate material locations and inventory records
Record incoming, outgoing, and transferred materials accurately
Identify and report inventory discrepancies
Help maintain organized storage locations for efficient material retrieval
Support inventory accuracy throughout warehouse and production operations
Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming shipments
Compare incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders
Verify quantities and material condition
Pick and prepare outgoing materials
Package products according to company requirements
Stage completed orders for shipment
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation
Assist with loading and unloading trucks
Material Handling Equipment
Candidates may work with:
Forklifts
Pallet jacks
Hand trucks
Warehouse carts
Other material-handling equipment
Previous forklift experience is preferred. Candidates must either hold appropriate certification or be able to successfully complete required forklift certification.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely handle warehouse and production materials
Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts and other equipment throughout the workday
Comfortable performing physically active material-handling work throughout an extended shift
Ability to safely work around warehouse and manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Manufacturing and warehouse environment
Regular interaction with inventory, production materials, forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, and shipping equipment
Hands-on position supporting Receiving, Inventory, Production, and Shipping operations
Fast-paced environment requiring accurate material movement and organized inventory
Strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, inventory accuracy, and maintaining clean work areas
All work must comply with company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements
