Job Description:
Shift:
 12 Hour 2-2-3 with possible OT
Compensation: $21.19/HR

 
The Material Handler is responsible for safe and efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within a warehouse or production facility.
 
Job Specific Roles
 
Material Handlers support production and distribution by moving raw materials, supplies, and finished products to the appropriate locations. Core duties include:
 
  • Receiving, inspecting, and unloading materials from trucks or containers, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment to transport materials safely.
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory, including labeling, recording locations, and performing cycle counts.
  • Preparing materials for production or shipment, including First In, First Out picking, packing, palletizing, and staging products.
  • Assisting in kitting, assembly, or allocation of materials as needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in work areas, following company protocols and safety regulations.
  • Documenting material movements and updating inventory systems, often using software like SAP.

  • Recognize and correct safety problems/issues/deficiencies as observed/directed.
 
Quality
  • Quality of product ranks 2nd only to safety.
  • Have a working knowledge of all quality procedures and ensure that they are followed.
  • Perform quality documenting audits.
 
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, some overtime on occasion.
  • Must possess excellent attendance.
  • Capacities to read, comprehend, and refer to operating directions.
 
Required Skills & Abilities
  • High school diploma or GED; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or operations environments is preferred, ranging from 0–4 years depending on education level.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and adherence to regulatory standards, such as cGMP for pharmaceutical settings.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more) and work in environments requiring standing, bending, and repetitive motion.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be flexible with working overtime 
  • Production/warehouse experience is a plus but not required
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment background check, drug screening and physical.
