Summary The Material Handler/Delivery Driver focuses on accurate, timely, and high-quality handling and transportation of materials. A detail-oriented and organized approach is essential for managing inventory, processing shipments, and ensuring on-time deliveries. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical accuracy, and a disciplined work ethic to track materials, verify documentation, and maintain warehouse organization. Decisions must be made carefully and thoroughly, following established procedures to minimize errors and ensure safety. Hands-on involvement, close attention to detail, and accountability are key to success, with a focus on getting the job done efficiently and correctly. While teamwork is important, this role also requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Job Characteristics Fast-paced environment with a focus on timely, correct resultsTechnical, intellectual focus Great deal of attention devoted to getting results that are timely and accurate Demanding, critical and exacting with close follow-up and limited delegation Reserved and confident when supported by detailed informationDecisions are made based on careful understanding of all available information; detailed technical knowledge; expertise and serious considerations for all sides of the issue/problemNeeds time to make the right decision and cannot be pressured to make quick decisionsReserved communication; strictly business communicates accurate information and provides all sides of the issueDemanding, critical and exactingNeeds opportunities to use/demonstrate know how and expertise in finding creative solutions to problems, with relative freedom from organizational involvementsDelegation is usually given to those who have proven to be highly dependable and preciseLeadership style likely involves high expectations for subordinates and a high degree of review following each task Key Responsibilities: Fulfill transfer orders from other branches, maintaining accurate records of materials and inventory.Collect, verify, load, and deliver completed packing slips to customers in a timely and professional manner.Stock and organize materials following company procedures and safety guidelines.Assist with cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.Properly handle and document return materials, processing all associated paperwork per company policies.Pull and prepare shipping tickets for outbound shipments.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following daily housekeeping practices.Assist in all warehouse and delivery-related duties as needed.Follow all Inline Electric Supply safety protocols and adhere to company policies.Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager or leadership team. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong multitasking and organizational skills.High attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation.Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing in a team setting.Strong time-management skills to meet delivery schedules and warehouse demands.A strong sense of accountability and reliability. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.Forklift certification is preferred but not required.No history of drug or alcohol abuse. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying 50 lbs. or more.Ability to climb, crouch, and grasp materials as needed.Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
