Material Handler

POSITION INFORMATION

Boyd Corporation isseekingto addaskilled and motivated individual to join our team asaMaterial Handler. 

Working at Boydisn’tyour usual manufacturing experience. This role is designed for someone who prefers anintellectual challengeabove and beyondtheday-to-dayphysical tasks. 

This is a full-timeposition on2ndshift.Theposition includes,

In a nutshell,ourMaterial Handlersareresponsible formoving productand materialto and fromtheproductionlines, as wellasaccuratelystoringproduct in the warehouse.Our products are packaged on skidsthat may belonger than mostand in tight quarters,so the ideal candidate will have both swing mast andtraditionalforklift experience.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operatesa forklift in a safe manner around people, warehouse racking,and productionequipment.

• Completes planning requirements ahead of schedule.

• Pullsand assemblesskidsand stages materialto supply the production lines, as needed.

• Suppliespackaging suppliesand/or raw materialsto the end of the production lines.

• Useshandheldscannertoproperlyadd/remove productand/or move/consume raw materialtoensure companysystems areaccurate.

• Usessmall hand tools to prepare skids for warehousestorage.

• Transfersskids, 4FT-20FT long,andplaces inappropriatelocation without damaging skid, product, or racking.

• Weighsproduct between production orders, as needed.

• Movesperipheral production equipment safely and as directed byteam membersandsupervisor.

• Other duties, as assigned.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior forklift experience.

• Strong communicationand documentationskills - written and verbal.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift, which may include: bending, twisting, walking, andlifting upto 50 lbs.
