Material Handler | Forklift Operator

Seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our team.Current opening may be on any of these shifts:***1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with rotating days off******2nd Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with rotating days off******3rd Shift: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am with rotating days off***Verdeco Recycling, Inc. -- California LocationAt Verdeco, we convert recycled plastic flake into custom-formulated pellets that bring sustainable innovation to a wide range of end-use applications. It redefines what's possible with rPET.*All employees must pass a drug test and background check.*Ability to lift up to 55 lbs*Reliable transportationPerforms material handling duties, packing, weighing, miscellaneous warehouse duties, gives full support to production when needed, loading and unloading trucks.Supports all safety objectives of the facility working in conjunction with management.Assist training new personnel.Ensures that appropriate shift communication logs are completed.Reports to Lead and document all equipment issues.Maintain accurate production counts on reports.Maintain good housekeeping practices at all times.Maintain scrap levels to a minimum.Assists with start-ups and shutdowns.Must be able to safely use the forklift.Must perform daily checks on forklifts.Maintain material flow to the machines as required.Transport material from the material staging area to dumpers.Move finished goods from production floor to warehouse.Proper labeling on finished product.Cleans and maintains loading equipment and scales.Must assist in inventory counts.Maintain a clean and neat work area with safety in mind.Perform other duties as requested by Lead or Management.Wear and utilize proper PPE.REQUIREMENTSMust speak, read and write English.Basic math skills, able to use calculator.Operate scales.Able to work with minimum supervision.Prepare written reports/production reports.Good interpersonal skills within a team environment.Capable of safely operating powered industrial forklifts.Verdeco Recycling is an equal opportunity employer.
