Materials Handler III
Location: Pomona, California
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Position Summary:

The Materials Handler III is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through the accurate movement, storage, and distribution of materials. Working under general supervision, this role performs receiving, put-away, inventory management, order picking, cycle counting, shipping, and material handling activities while maintainingcompliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute material movement activities accurately and efficiently within the warehouse environment.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipments as required.
  • Process receiving transactions, stock transfers, material requests, and inventory put-away.
  • Pick customer orders and prepare shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Perform cycle counting and inventory verification activities.
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage material transactions and inventory records.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies using root cause analysis and assist with resolution efforts.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, and other warehouse equipment, following proper training and certification requirements.
  • Drive company cut-away box trucks between facilities when appropriately trained and authorized.
  • Assist with on-the-job training and mentoring of warehouse associates.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations, material flow, and process optimization.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and communicate improvement opportunities to management.
  • Maintain positive working relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Comply with all company policies, environmental health and safety procedures, GMP requirements, ISO standards, and department-specific operating procedures.
  • Adhere to FDA regulations and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and operational committees as assigned.
Qualifications/ Education/ Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of material handling, inventory control, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management processes.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across multiple organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
