JOB SUMMARY: As a Material Handler, you will play a vital part in the supply chain process, overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and order picking of our products, helping to implement and sustain processes and systems that ensure targets within the warehouse are met. You will be a crucial collaborator in implementing and controlling the efficient and effective flow of goods between the point of origin and the point of consumption, meeting requirements for both the business and customers. You will utilize your specific inventory experience to continually improve team performance and effectiveness. This position will report to the Inventory Manager and will work with other members of the warehouse and other departments throughout the organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for stocking items on the shelf, ensuring they are properly marked with the correct part number and rotated as necessary.
- Pull parts for Transfers/Manufacturing/Sales and document all material transactions.
- Direct all Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory issues to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Responsible for daily accurate cycle counts of on-hand quantities.
- Responsible for operating machinery in a safe manner and reporting any equipment maintenance or problems to your immediate supervisor.
- Offload deliveries, confirming the packing list and MTRs against the product received. Load outgoing shipments and ensure proper shipping documentation.
- Responsible for keeping all inventory areas clean and orderly.
- Responsible for stocking all items into the warehouse after Quality Control has inspected and returned.
- Pulls, packages, labels, and stages daily Capital, Spares, Service, Repair, and other shipments as assigned.
- Works with others as necessary to ensure prompt processing and movement of all parts to their next location.
- Verifies the accuracy of all orders pulled before confirmation and physical shipment.
- Take ownership, organize, and maintain personal, company equipment, and work area in a professional manner, and attend scheduled HSE training.
- Responsible for following all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, and HSE requirements.
- Maintain warehouse supplies and submit requisitions to the Inventory Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be self-motivated, maintain a productive environment so that everyone will benefit from them as a team.
- Must be able to work extra hours daily and on weekends as required.
- Must follow and enforce all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur.
- Must be able to resolve problems through collaboration and sharing with their teammates.
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of operating systems related to Inventory, Shipping, and Material Handling functions.
- Operate material handling equipment as required, achieve and maintain fork truck operator certification, and use safe working practices as directed.
- Must be capable of repeated bending, stopping, squatting, and standing for prolonged periods
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- High School or GED.
- Must be skilled in using computers, including being proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong and professional interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner across multiple departments and communication media with changing priorities.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and procedures.
- Must be knowledgeable in Warehouse and pack out practices.
- Must be capable of working in a non-air-conditioned warehouse environment with PPE.
- Must be capable of operating company forklift trucks and capable of achieving and maintaining certification for such equipment.
