Warehouse Associate – Material HandlerJob Summary:The role of the Warehouse Associate and Material Handler is to work in a high-performance work organization on a cross functional team that utilizes the employee’s ability to perform multiple tasks and work within a team environment. Candidates need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful. Supervisory Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities:- Work safely and follow safety rules and procedures.
- Read, understand, and follow production schedules.
- Gather materials as needed according to the production schedule and sales order.
- Communicate effectively with shop leads for flow of product through the plant.
- Maintain production information and documentation as appropriate.
- Perform housekeeping duties such as 5S.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned such as being flexible to cross train and be used in multiple areas and departments.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities:- Excellent Attendance
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Display an attitude of continuous improvement and problem-solving
Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able stand the entire shift
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
