The Material Handler moves product and material safely and efficiently in the production area, the warehouse area, or in shipping and receiving using a forklift and other material handling equipment. Also responsible for organization of material & cleanliness of plant floor.

Comply with all company policies and procedures including GMP, PPE, HACCP, and JSA regulations.
Responsible for ensuring, where applicable, the product safety, quality, regulatory compliance and legality of all products produced and sold.
Job Requirement
Education: High school diploma, but previous work-related skill, knowledge, and experience is needed.
Experience: A minimum one-year forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ability to use RF scanner for WMS transactions and to ensure accuracy of inventory. Ability to operate manual pallet jack and/or electric pallet jack; ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as Safety Rules, forklift operating and maintenance instructions, material handling, and quality procedure documents. Ability to communicate with supervisors and others in work area; basic mathematics (i.e. counting).
Working Environment:
Safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes are In addition, task specific PPE may be required.
Our Manufacturing plant is not environmentally controlled. Changes in humidity and temperature occur throughout the year.
Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee may continuously remain in a stationary position, bend, use hands and fingers to operate controls. The employee may frequently use arms to reach. The employee may occasionally push and pull and communicate. The employee may occasionally move and position up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
