Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates forklift in accordance with company policy and completes daily safety inspections.
- Knowledge of shipping / receiving / inventory control principles and practices.
- Interprets and uses bill of ladings/orders.
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks.
- Inspects incoming deliveries for accuracy and any visible damage.
- Supports all manufacturing operations with material movement throughout the plant.
- Communicates and coordinate activities with machine operators and supervisors.
- Supplies required materials to work centers.
- Stages empty pallets for foam extrusion.
- Removes finished goods from work centers.
- Removes waste, scrap and paper bales from work centers, operates trash compactor as needed.
- Bands and wraps finished goods materials.
- Services packaging bander and wrapper equipment by replacing band material and film.
- Services grinding operations by replacing containers as they fill, sweeping the area and emptying the collection socks as needed.
- Completes documentation as required.
- Completes other duties as assigned by plant leadership, production leads, or shift leads.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of forklift experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking to processes and equipment.
- Ability to use a tape measure.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
- High awareness toward safety for yourself and others.
- Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team or individually.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
- College-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary.
- Ability to operate hoists, pallet jacks, and other related equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to enter, exit, and drive a forklift without assistance.
- Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 40lbs.
- Eye/hand coordination.
