Material Handler – 1st Shift
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Summary

PeopleFirst Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support daily warehouse and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using computers, able to safely operate a sit-down forklift, and capable of handling materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, move, store, and distribute materials throughout the facility.
• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials as needed.
• Use computer systems to enter, retrieve, and update material and inventory information.
• Verify material quantities, labels, and documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain organized storage areas and ensure materials are placed in designated locations.
• Follow established safety procedures and material-handling guidelines.
• Communicate with team members and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable using computers and entering information into computer systems.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach as required throughout the shift.

• Ability to perform job duties in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
