    Job Title: Material Handler
    Location: Hartville, OH 44632
    Duration: 6+ months Contract (Possible extension)

    Job Summary
    The Shift Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This role ensures timely material flow to support production schedules, maintains inventory accuracy, and operates material handling equipment while adhering to established safety and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials to and from production areas.
    • Load, unload, and stage materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
    • Perform material replenishment to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
    • Maintain accurate inventory transactions using ERP, WMS, or barcode scanning systems.
    • Verify incoming and outgoing materials for quantity, accuracy, and quality requirements.
    • Organize and maintain warehouse, storage, and production areas in a clean and orderly condition.
    • Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
    • Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and continuous improvement activities.
    • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and proper material handling procedures.
    • Complete required documentation and communicate material issues or shortages to appropriate teams.

    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • 1–3 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment preferred.
    • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.
    • Basic computer skills with experience using inventory systems, ERP, WMS, or barcode scanners preferred.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow safety procedures.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a production team.
    • Flexibility to work assigned shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
