Material Handler I

Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the handling and movement of parts in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform quality checks or inspections and complete documentation as required.
Contribute to in-production batch changeovers and line clearances.
Perform set up and break down functions as required.
Must be willing to rotate among various tasks within the department.
Perform custodial and general housekeeping functions to keep a clean working environment.
Any duties unique to assigned department.
Work in a clean room environment.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.
Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds repetitively.
Ability to lift 3 pounds above the shoulder repetitively.
Able to stand and / or bend over for long periods of time.
Ability to climb over ladders.
Required Education and Experience
HS Diploma or equivalent.
