Material Handler I
Norwell, MA
3-Month Temporary Assignment
TempExperts is seeking a Material Handler I for a 3-month temporary opportunity in Norwell, Massachusetts. This position supports warehouse and production operations by receiving, storing, moving, and preparing materials and products for shipment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials and deliveries.
- Pull, stage, and transport materials to support production and packing operations.
- Prepare and assemble customer orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Restock inventory and maintain organized storage locations.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory control activities.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and warehouse guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping activities.
- Support additional warehouse and production tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience.
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
