Material Handler I
Norwell, MA
Temporary Assignment

TempExperts is seeking a Material Handler I for a temporary opportunity in Norwell, Massachusetts. This position supports warehouse and production operations by receiving, storing, moving, and preparing materials and products for shipment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

 
  • Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials and deliveries.
  • Pull, stage, and transport materials to support production and packing operations.
  • Prepare and assemble customer orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Restock inventory and maintain organized storage locations.
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory control activities.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
  • Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and warehouse guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping activities.
  • Support additional warehouse and production tasks as assigned.
Requirements/Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience.
  • Previous forklift experience required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
