Keep Operations Flowing. Support the Supply Chain. Make an Impact Every Day.

Goodwill Southern California is hiring Material Handler I team members to support our mission of transforming lives through the power of work. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping our supply chain moving—handling materials, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring goods are processed safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate material handling equipment such as tippers, stackers, conveyors, pallet jacks, and compactors to move and process goods safely.
  • Load, unload, stack, and organize MUTs (Mobile Unit Transport containers) and Blue Bins.
  • Ensure containers are properly labeled, clean, and ready for use across operations.
  • Sort and manage recyclables, ensuring proper disposal and environmental compliance.
  • Build and palletize materials (such as gaylords) to support commodities processing.
  • Assist drivers with loading and unloading shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and report hazards or concerns promptly.
  • Support overall production, safety, and operational efficiency goals.

What You Bring:

  • Some warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn material handling equipment.
  • Comfort working in a physically active environment (lifting, moving, and standing).
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently.
  • Strong attention to safety and operational detail.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work with moderate supervision.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
  • Commitment to Goodwill’s mission and RISE values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence).

What’s in it for you:

  • Hourly Rate: 16.90
  • Discount at Goodwill SoCal retail locations
  • Goodwill Perks: Discounts on dining, retail, theme parks, and movies
  • Employee Assistance Program: Mental and physical wellness, financial and legal resources, and career and education support

Full-time Positions are eligible for:

  • Medical, dental, vision insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account - FSA
  • Life insurance
  • 403(b) retirement plan
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Tuition Reimbursement

Be part of the team that powers our mission behind the scenes. Join Goodwill SoCal and help move goods—and opportunities—forward every day.
