The Material Handler I is responsible for performing warehouse functions including processing, checking, verifying, and inventorying packages and shipments received. Stores items or disburses and ships as necessary. Updates related computer records, documents, and files. Proficient in multiple material handling functions that include receiving and shipping orders with minimal supervision.Essential Functions and Basic Duties Ships ProductsPulls/Audit material issues related to customer sales orders and/or Capital Equipment ordersShips product out in accordance with sales order requests, ensuring shipments are complete and correctIdentifies, tracks and resolves inventory and shipping errors, problems or delaysReceives ProductsProcesses materials received; checks, verifies and tags materialsChecks receipts for proper quantities and item numbers. Rejects damaged goods and refers problems accordinglyEnters receiving information into the computer and forwards necessary information to area personnelInventory and Product ReturnsConduct Cycle Count Inventories of materials and finished goods.
