Material Handler II - Temecula, CA
Are you a dependable, safety-minded professional eager to play a crucial role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler II to ensure seamless material flow, maintain accurate inventory, and uphold rigorous safety standards at our Temecula facility. Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other industrial equipment safely to unload, move, and load materials within the facility and at external locations.
Unload inbound shipments, accurately process goods receipts in SAP (training provided), and conduct quality inspections on received materials.
Support distribution by loading/unloading trucks and securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace, including housekeeping around silos, waste removal, and inventory re-stacking to ensure safety and efficiency.
Assemble crates and packaging for products such as machines or vehicles, utilizing hand tools and pre-cut lumber.
Manage kanban storage areas efficiently and identify opportunities to optimize inventory flow.
Assist with inventory management projects and production support tasks.
Serve as a backup for receiving and distribution operations to ensure continuous workflow.
Support production by handling materials and moving equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
Strictly adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting within a fast-paced and rugged environment.
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting or carrying at least 50 lbs, and standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
Valid forklift certification with demonstrated proficiency; ability to pass internal safety evaluations.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems highly preferred.
Strong commitment to safety practices and knowledge of LOTO procedures.
Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and advance.
Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
Flexibility to work overtime and various shifts as operational needs demand.
