Material Handler III

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $13.00hr - $18.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read information through warehouse computer software.
• Relevant work experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
• Willingness to travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars as required.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain incoming and outgoing product movement throughout the facility.
• Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and distribute items to production areas.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Use computer systems to enter records.
• Drive material handling equipment to transport stored items.
• Load and unload trailers of palletized and non-palletized product.
• Utilize manual and automated material handling equipment.
• Practice and adhere to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines and procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection.
• Contribute to division results and performance.
• Address internal and external customer needs and expectations.

Qualification And Education:

• 5-10 years of experience.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

• Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
• Ability to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
• Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs on a frequent basis.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
• Ability to climb and descend stairs.
• Ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on a frequent basis.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Ability to work in heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
• Ability to work in areas where noise level requires hearing protection.
• Ability to work in environments with varying amounts of dust and dirt.
• Ability to work on concrete surfaces.
