Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Southern Specialties is seeking a dependable, hardworking Material Handler – Inventory Control professional to join their growing team in a clean, climate-controlled sheet metal fabrication and assembly facility.

Responsibilities
As a Material Handler / Inventory Specialist, you will help ensure materials are accurately tracked, stored, and delivered where they are needed to keep production running smoothly.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials using handheld scan gun technology
- Stock and transfer materials to proper locations throughout the facility
- Pick parts and stage materials for production jobs and customer shipments
- Safely load and unload trucks and trailers
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Work closely with production and warehouse teams to support workflow
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing environment
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scan guns
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
- Forklift experience preferred
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
