Material Handler

Summary:

· The Material Handler Associate position will oversee dock operations, bunking of shipments, pallet sizing, cutting of material and inventory control. In this role, the Associate will coach team members in meeting quality standards and specifications of products.

Responsibilities:

· Advanced knowledge in the departmental process and equipment.

· Learn, operate, and troubleshoot Material handling department equipment.

· Train and mentor team members

· Create and maintain an accurate inventory of all required consumables, chemicals, tooling, PPE gear, etc.

· Ensure precise cutting, shaping, and assembling of metal components.

· Ensure finished goods are within established quality control protocol.

· Record and resolve quality control issues, develop, and communicate resolutions to team members.

· Perform & Manage maintenance in conjunction with established maintenance schedule.

· Assist the maintenance department in the creation and improvement of preventive maintenance tasks.

· Communicate and collaborate effectively with peers and other departments.

Must Haves:

· Advanced understanding of heavy equipment operation and inventory.

· Advanced understanding of material handling.

· Technical skills - proficiency with tools and equipment.

· Ability to solve complex problems quickly and efficiently.

· Proficient in verbal and written communication.

· Clear communication skills, understanding people through practice of patience and emotional quotient.

· Proficiency in using Microsoft 0365 Applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

· Forklift Operation experience Preferred (Certified through ABH)

Education and Experience:

· Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing facility

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in utilizing Cut saw, Laser and panel saw

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift 60 pounds.

· Position consists of standing 50% to 70% of the time

· Adherent to all Safety equipment
