We are seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handler for a temporary 3-month assignment. The Material Handler will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the receipt, storage, inventory, movement, and loading of equipment, supplies, and publications. You will be utilizing both manual and automated systems to ensure the efficient handling of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform receipt, storage, and inventory tasks related to equipment, supplies, and publications.
Operate material handling equipment (MHE), including forklifts, tractors, and conveyor systems.
Utilize automated systems (both hardware and software) to manage material movement and storage.
Apply detailed technical data from the provided technical data systems in the care and storage program.
Develop storage space requirements based on material factors like weight, size, and clearance.
Perform additional manual tasks and clerical duties as directed.
Ensure compliance with established safety standards, quality protocols, and time schedules.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Four years of related experience in material handling or warehousing.
Completion of Enlisted Warehouseman Basic Course at MCSSS or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Proficient in using technical data systems to manage storage programs.
Must possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License and be able to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
