Education Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn warehouse management systems, inventory software, and handheld scanning devices.

Experience Requirements

• Experience in warehouse operations, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, or material handling.
• Ability to accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Experience maintaining inventory accuracy through barcode and serial number scanning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or fulfillment experience.
• Previous shipping and receiving experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, stacker lifts, and pallet wrapping machines.
• Knowledge of modern warehouse processes, inventory control, pick-and-pack operations, and shipping technologies.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 49 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, climb stairs, and safely navigate warehouse environments.
• Comfortable working around moving material handling equipment and machinery.

Job Duties

• Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the warehouse and distribution center.
• Pick, pack, scan, and prepare customer orders for on-time shipment.
• Receive incoming goods and verify inventory accuracy using handheld scanners.
• Maintain inventory records, serial number tracking, and warehouse management systems.
• Support shipping, receiving, packing, unpacking, and general material movement activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and PPE requirements.

What You Will Do

As a Material Handler you will receive, move, stage, load, unload, organize, and transport materials throughout warehouse or manufacturing operations. You will verify inventory, maintain accurate product locations, prepare materials for production or shipment, assist with inventory control, and help ensure safe, efficient movement of products while following established workplace procedures.

The Material Handler plays an important role in warehouse and manufacturing environments by ensuring materials move safely and efficiently throughout daily operations. This position requires organization, physical stamina, and attention to detail.

Successful Material Handler candidates understand material flow, inventory procedures, workplace safety, and warehouse organization while supporting production schedules and customer fulfillment. Consistent performance contributes directly to operational efficiency.
