ABOUT THE JOB:
We’re hiring a Material Handler I – 1st Shift to safely operate forklift equipment and help ensure quality products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced distribution environment with a strong focus on safety, inventory accuracy, product quality, and teamwork.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Safely operate a forklift to move, load, store, and retrieve materials
Use handheld scanners to track inventory and product locations
Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies
Complete inventory and cycle counts
Perform routine forklift inspections and report equipment issues
Keep warehouse aisles and work areas clean, safe, and organized
Follow all safety, GMP, food-quality, and regulatory procedures
Report damaged products, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED
At least 2+ years of forklift experience preferred
Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
Basic computer skills, including use of a scan gun
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to conduct inventory and cycle counts
