Department: Warehouse Reports to: Distribution Mgr/Sr Mgr, Distribution
Job Type (FT/PT): FT FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
We are looking for experienced individual who have worked in a warehouse environment, preferably in the battery/automotive sector for a project at our warehouse.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leads warehouse task responsibilities, safety procedures and best practices
Perform safety and OSHA audits as needed by the business
Stock control - Inbound and Outbound Goods
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory utilizing company ERP system
Track and coordinate the receipt, storage and timely order fulfillment of product
Responsible for disposition of the warehouse and ordering supplies necessary to maintain a clean workspace
Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers as necessary
Check orders, items received, inventory and deliveries for accuracy; make adjustments as necessary
Work autonomously with little to no direct supervision
Stage outbound orders/freight
Load and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
Sort and stack incoming product (returns, cores, warranties)
Sort, pack, wrap, tie and label products as per company procedures
Store the products in proper places in warehouse
Deliver products to various units in safe and timely manner
Weigh products and record weight and other data in product labels
OSHA compliance for warehouse
Punch in and out through the ADP portal daily, or use the Staff attendance sheets
Warehouse cleanliness - clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plastic
Identify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
Maintain material handling equipment by recharging, cleaning, oiling, re-fueling and other necessary actions, and record all information on log sheet.
Minor Repairs to Equipment as needed
Maintain forklift equipment by troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, recommending repairs and performing routine pre and post inspections.
Customer service expectations met - Internal & External
Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements and deliveries
Record information regarding movements of supplies, materials and finished products
Weekly stock takes for warehouse
Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.
Staff training on warehouse and battery processes
Ensure product quality before staging of product for shipment
Scrap collection
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office & Supplier portals
Daily Inbound and Outbound Shipment Paperwork
All other duties as required

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, transfer and maneuver batteries and other materials weighing between 50-75 lbs.
Frequent bending, and use of legs, hands, and arms to operate warehouse equipment, and secure loads.
Ability to push and pull cart full of batteries and horizontally transfer batteries requiring a force up to 75 lbs.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking within the warehouse.
Travel
No regular travel required.
Work Environment
Warehouse setting, with large equipment and machinery constantly in use.
Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
