Material Handler

Black Bear Talent is hiring 2nd and 3rd shift Material Handlers. As a Material Handler you will responsible for locating items to be shipped from warehouse and transports necessary quantities to staging area using powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks.Assists in warehouse duties which includes unloading items from shuttle truck and transporting to and stacking in proper storage area.

Hours: 2nd Shift 3:00-11:30PM or 3rd Shift 11:00PM-7:30AM 

Key Responsibilities

• Locates appropriate items and quantities to be shipped per pick list. Transport items to staging area using powered industrial and manual hand trucks.
• Assist truck drivers in loading and stacking items onto trucks by hand or by use of powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks.
• Checks off all shipments against pick list
• Performs warehouse duties as required which includes unloading items from shutting with powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks and transporting appropriate storage area in warehouse.
• Records time and production
• Works eight-hour shift concurrently with other plant operations. Periodic daily and weekend overtime as production schedules demand.
• May be assigned task of training new/transferred employees as required.
• Other essential functions as may be assigned by management.

Required Education & Qualifications

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Education - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
