Our fabrication shop supports projects from raw material to finished steel components. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused team member to support material movement and operate key processing equipment within our shop. Position SummaryBridge Brothers is seeking a Material Handler & Machine Operator to move materials throughout the facility and operate production equipment, including our Wheelabrator steel processing machine. This role combines forklift operation, material staging, and machine operation in a hands-on fabrication environment. Prior forklift experience is required. Wheelabrator experience is not required — we will train the right candidate. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse or manufacturing experience who wants stable, full-time work in an industrial setting. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts to move palletized materials and steel components Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently Stage materials for welders, fabricators, and painters Maintain organized material flow throughout the shop and yard Operate the Wheelabrator (steel cleaning/blasting machine) Load and unload steel components into the machine Monitor machine performance and ensure proper material processing Perform routine checks and basic upkeep of equipment Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Maintain a clean and organized work environment
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred 1+ year of forklift experience required Experience handling pallets in warehouse or manufacturing environments Comfortable working around industrial machinery Willingness to learn machine operation (Wheelabrator training provided) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Strong attention to safety and reliability Team-oriented attitude and solid work ethic
