We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our team in the lumber industry. This role involves inspecting handling and organizing various types of lumber and related materials. Forklift experience is preferred as daily duties include pulling orders putting away and picking material and packaging for shipment.
Key Responsibilities
Carefully inspect lumber and materials for damage defects or discrepancies
Pull lumber orders accurately based on load lists or customer requirements
Pick materials for production or shipment
Safely and efficiently put away materials in designated yard or warehouse locations
Package and secure materials for shipment or customer pickup
Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment if certified
Assist with loading and unloading trucks
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse or yard handling lumber or building materials
Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with heavy and oversized materials
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor
Reliable punctual and team-oriented
Working Conditions
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a lumber yard environment
Requires standing walking bending and lifting throughout the shift
Exposure to varying weather conditions
Starting Pay Rate - 22Hr.
