Material Handler
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Shift: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD. This is a temporary opportunity with the strong possibility of becoming a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse and manufacturing operations by receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment and be comfortable using inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for production and shipment
- Move materials throughout the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Perform inventory transactions and maintain records in company systems
- Support production teams by ensuring materials are available when needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory control activities as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Experience working with MRP and/or ERP systems
- Prior inventory control or material handling experience in a manufacturing setting
