We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for efficiently locating, retrieving, and transporting parts within the department to ensure smooth and timely delivery to designated assembly areas. Your efforts will directly impact production efficiency and help maintain a seamless workflow, supporting our clients commitment to quality and growth. This position is Monday through Friday, from 05:00 AM to 01:00 PM. Material Handling & Inventory Management
Retrieve and locate parts for work orders, updating inventory records in real-time as changes occur.
Utilize Visual software to match order worksheets with required parts.
Operate a forklift to move materials to designated locations within the warehouse and production areas.
Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with Leads and team members to prioritize orders and ensure timely delivery.
Assist the shipping department by storing finished products in their designated areas.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of required protective equipment (e.g., steel-toe shoes, safety glasses).
Report safety hazards or inventory discrepancies to the Supervisor immediately.
Follow all company environmental policies and procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
Accurately document the retrieval and storage of materials and completed products.
Maintain organized and accessible records for materials handled and tasks completed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment; prior experience in a Receiving department is a plus.
Ability to work the designated shift ( 05:00 AM to 01:00 PM)
Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand (80%) during shifts.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (approximately 10% of the time).
Comfortable using a pallet jack.
Capable of bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, twisting, and turning as required by the role.
