Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry. \n \nJob Summary:\n \nThe Material Handler - Yard is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the site. \n \nAdditional Information:\n\n Starting Pay: $22/hr, can be adjusted with experience\n \n\n Schedule: 6:00 PM \u2013 5:00 AM Monday through Friday (eventually will be going to 10 4's) \n \n\n There is a shift premium included\n \n\n This position does not offer relocation\n \n\n This position does not offer sponsorship\n \n\n This position is located in Midland, TX\n \n\n \nWhat Will You Do:\n\n At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service \n \n\n Unload, stock and inventory all deliveries \n \n\n Assist with new orders and cycle counts\n \n\n Read and understand standard work and risk assessments \n \n\n Exhibits equipment and product understanding \n \n\n Counts, weighs, secures, tags, palettize and stacks materials and maintains accurate records of material movement \n \n\n Assist service operations with pulling and picking parts\n \n\n Performs other job duties as assigned \n \n\n \nWhat You Will Have: \n\n Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience \n \n\n Prior experience operating a forklift\n \n\n Must be able to become forklift certified within 30 days\n \n\n Must be able to effectively operate hand-held scanner (inventory transaction device) within 30 days\n \n\n Ability to use identification tools (engraver, metal stamps, paint pen) to mark product\n \n\n Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings\n \n\n \nTop Candidates will have:\n\n Basic understanding of the warehouse distribution industry\n \n\n Experience/exposure to yard material handling\n \n\n \nPhysical Demands: \n\n Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear\n \n\n Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl\n \n\n Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\n \n\n Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus\n \n\n Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department\n \n\n \nWork Environment: \n\n Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles\n \n\n Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions\n \n\n Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration\n \n\n Noise Level: Moderate\u202f \n \n\n \nSummary Pay Range:\n \n$19.85 - $26.55\n \nCompensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
