The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials, products, and inventory within a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or distribution center. This role supports production and shipping operations by receiving, organizing, transporting, and tracking materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities: - Receive, inspect, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Pick, pack, stage, and transport materials to support production, shipping, and customer orders.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scanners (as certified and authorized).
- Maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or manual documentation.
- Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, and product condition during receiving and shipping processes.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring proper handling and storage procedures.
- Organize warehouse and storage areas to maximize efficiency and maintain cleanliness.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Report damaged materials, inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, and safety concerns.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, shipping documents, and inventory records.
- Basic computer and inventory system skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds or more, depending on company requirements.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
- Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, or outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
