Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material handling environment is preferred.
Prior paint manufacturing or paint industry experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions, safety procedures, labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and other job-related documentation.
Basic computer proficiency and experience with inventory management systems; experience using RF scanners or RF guns is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as required.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toed footwear, hard hat and any additional PPE required for the work being performed.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to chemicals while following all established safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
Position Summary
Coating Systems is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and safety-focused Material Support Operator to support the daily operations of our Research & Development (R&D) and Finished Product departments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials are accurately inventoried, staged, labeled, and shipped while maintaining compliance with company safety, quality, and inventory control standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and update R&D inventory spreadsheets with accurate material usage and inventory information.
Coordinate the ordering, pulling, and movement of materials to support R&D and production activities.
Pull raw materials and transfer them into the appropriate containers following established work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely handle chemicals and materials in accordance with company policies.
Ensure all containers and materials are accurately labeled and properly identified.
Process material transactions using RF scanners and consume materials in the inventory management system.
Update part labels and inventory records as required.
Work collaboratively with the SKU team to produce materials and create Handling Units (HUs).
Print manual shipping documents, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), labels, and other required documentation.
Transport materials to designated shipping locations, including:
CSR materials to the staging area.
APC materials to the FedEx shipping area.
Complete all shipping documentation and ensure materials are properly signed into shipping.
Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and timely system updates.
Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, environmental requirements, and 5S workplace organization practices.
Assist the Finished Product department with material support and other operational needs as assigned.
Work overtime as required to support business and production needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
